Hi!

My name is Maria and Her Territory is a women’s lifestyle website I started in 2021.

I am a Darwin bred girl (I’d love to say “born” and bred, but I didn’t get here until I was 3-months-old … thanks to Cyclone Tracy wrecking my mum’s birth plan).

I am a former journalist and columnist, come from a pretty big Greek (& non-Greek!) Darwin family, have two girls aged exactly 13 years apart, and just love living in the Top End (despite my innate fear of one day being taken by a saltwater crocodile).

Importantly - I love to write and I love to tell other people’s stories.

I also have some views on things, so occasionally I like to pen an opinion piece.

Her Territory is my place for tips and best-of lists; stories on NT women, opinions, snippets of the Territory lifestyle, and occasionally, a bit of random celebrity gossip. Because, hello, I am female.
