3. Kingpin Darwin

4. Robin Falls

Robin Falls, Adelaide River

Maybe save this one for the date you finaaallly organised with that friend who you told everyone nothing would ever happen with - but everyone knew differently. Robin Falls is a beautiful oasis just over an hour away from Darwin. Stop at the Adelaide River Pub on the way home for a beautiful weekend date adeventure.

5. Fish & Chips at Cullen Bay

Fresh fish & chips by the water is a perfect way to spend an evening. Cullen Bay boasts beautiful sunsets & happy vibes. Grab yourself some takeway, take a picnic mat & perch yourself on a patch of perfect grass while you take it all in.

6. Movie Night

Event Cinemas Palmerston

It’s a classic for a reason. Palmerston is home to the best cinemas in the Territory. Make it a Palmo date and treat yourselves to dinner at the Good Times Bar or the Bell Bar and Grill followed by a movie of your choice in your Gold class, reclining chair luxury.

7. Swing dance at the Rails

Railway Club, Parap

One from left field, but what a fun and easy way to get to know a potential life partner. Swingdancing at the Rails on a Wednesday night is an excellent way to get to know someone (and learn a cool a new skill). You will not stop smiling all night. Get there by 8:30pm for the lesson! It is literally for EVERYONE.

8. A Fishing Charter

You can’t get any more Territorian than going on a fishing charter for a first date right?! There are so many excellent fishing charter companies operating in the Top End, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. Spend a bit of time researching as there are heaps of different options depending on whether you’re a novice or experienced angler (and depending on how long you want to be on the water with your date!)

9. Nightcliff Foreshore Sunset Stroll

A sunset stroll, dinner at one of the many food carts along the foreshore. The Nightcliff Foreshore has something for everyone – but especially so for those looking for a casual and pretty location for a first date. Alternatively have a glass of wine and meal at the Foreshore Café – their new deck is such a pretty place to enjoy the sunset and Dry Season breeze.

Her Territory pick: Get your active wear on and make it a sporty catchup. The exercise equipment that is sprinkled along the pathway is actually pretty great, and there is no better way to impress than showing your prowess at chin-ups.

 

 

10. De La Plage

Casuarina Coastal Reserve

This is the perfect beach café and the perfect spot for a getting-to-know-my-potential-life-partner hang. Their location IS world class – out at Casuarina Beach (near the Surf Life Saving Club), and the menu is extraordinary (as is the coffee). They also serve lunch and dinner, so you have pick on just how casual you want the catch up to be.

Her Territory pick: If either you or your potential date is a vegetarian this place has a wonderful menu to cater for that .. including THIS yummy HALOUMI BURGER on a turmeric bun!
